Meet Jack (Dad)

JACK

Jack was born on January 8, 2006 and joined Northumbria Police at five months. He attended his General Police Dog Course at police HQ, passing out to work on the streets at 12 months.

He is a sable coloured dog, one of the largest and tallest in the force weighing in at 41kg. He is bred through full working lines.

He is trained to a very high standard in all disciplines of General Police Dog work, attending two days refresher training every five weeks and is put through his licensing once a year to make sure he is completely safe and efficient when worked.

Jack lives at home with his handler, Sgt Jason Leith and has his own kennel in the garden.
