Vegas
Vegas
February 2010
Vegas is now just over 5 months old and has developed into a really cheeky character.
Vegas has grown so much since her arrival in December and is now as tall as my six year old pet dog Woody. He's become her best friend and she loves nothing better than tormenting him by sleeping in his bed and pinching his toys.
Vegas enjoyed her first Christmas and loved running round the Christmas trees, pinching the baubles and then hiding them under the dinning room table.
In February she had a three week sleepover at her brother Rick's house. She had lots of fun digging up the garden and wrestling with him.
Now the weather has improved Vegas has moved into her own kennel in the garden which means Woody now gets some peace.
Vegas is now unknowingly learning valuable skills that she will need for her future role as a police dog, so I will let you know next month how things are going.
March 2010
Barking at strangers is fun!!!
Through the week Vegas' day starts at 7.30am when the builders turn up to work on my extension.
Vegas loves practising her barking and growling technique on them and knowing the role she will undertake in the future it's great to see her enhancing these skills. Luckily, the neighbours seem to feel the same way.
Vegas loves going to school as she barges through the gate cries to get in the car and once there can't wait to find out what's on the timetable.
This month she's been learning chasing games, hide and seek, tug of war and fetch, all of which she will be practising for homework.
April 2010
Sad news! After a particular boisterous game of tug and war between Vegas and Woody poor 'ducky', Vegas's favourite toy, is no longer with us.
It was a ruff game..................this is the end result
However, I'm pleased to say that Vegas is the strongest and showed huge determination by refusing to surrender her toy to woody.
I feel she may have had an unfair advantage due to her size and the fact that she now weighs a whopping 30kgs.
Vegas is continuing to do well at school and is still showing promise for the future.
