Neighbourhood Policing in Northumbria

Neighbourhood Policing is the essence of a police service which understands its communities' needs and concerns and responds to them in a way those communities and individuals within them would want.

It's about putting people at the heart of what we do, listening to and understanding our communities and delivering a service meeting their needs and priorities, resulting in true Citizen Focus.

Neighbourhood Policing provides dedicated neighbourhood teams made up of police officers and police staff who are accessible, visible and known to the communities.

Working closely with other agencies, businesses and residents we strive to create safe and secure communities where there is clear understanding of the things which matter most to you.

By working together we can identify ways of tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in your community, while at the same time increasing confidence and satisfaction in ways which best meet your needs.

Your Neighbourhood Team is there to tell you what they are doing for you and your community and need you to tell them how you think they are doing in dealing with your priorities.
