Corporate Development department

We support operational policing by providing skills and systems to assist in planning, monitoring, understanding and improving performance.

We provide accurate, appropriate and useable information and analysis to chief officers, departments and area commands to improve the force’s service to the public.

Two of our sections, Performance Review and Inspectorate, together provide an accurate picture of what the force is currently achieving, while analysis and development of improvements for the future are delivered through the Scanning & Planning, Policy Support and Service Development sections.
