Selection procedure

Applicants who submit acceptable national application forms will follow the selection procedure below.  Please see the following pages for further information on this procedure. 

If you are successful at each stage you will progress to the next one. The Chief Constable retains the right to reject an application at any stage of the recruiting process without giving a reason.

• Stage 2: Assessment centre

• Stage 3: Interview

• Stage 4: Medical examination and fitness test

• Stage 5: References and security checks

• Stage 6: Offer of appointment
