Your current and previous employers (covering the last three years) will be contacted for references, unless you specifically request otherwise.
Security checks
All individuals who require access to Northumbria Police premises, information and/or other assets are subject to vetting procedures, be they employees, partnership workers or employees of contracted service providers. Recruitment Vetting (External Applicants) is the category of vetting applicable to all individuals who apply to join Northumbria Police.
Recruitment Vetting (External Applicants) arrangements exist to ensure that:
You are afforded the opportunity to join the police service in Northumbria with the minimum of bureaucracy
Northumbria Police has the necessary assurances with respect to the honesty, integrity and reliability of individuals accessing its resources, police or National Security information, or other assets within its control
Stage 6. Offer of appointment
Successful candidates will be offered an appointment upon receipt of satisfactory pre-employment checks.
