Special Constables must be able to talk to people effectively and they often have to deal with difficult or contentious circumstances.
As a Special Constable you will be solving problems and making sound decisions every day.
We're looking for much the same personal qualities in specials that we look for in the regular force - integrity, honesty, tact and communication skills. As a special constable you will be solving problems in difficult or contentious circumstances and making sound decisions every day. We are looking for individuals who thrive on variety, extensive public contact and a high level of personal responsibility.
