Firearms application forms

Application forms can be obtained from a number of sources:

• By downloading from this site

• By collection from a local police station

You can apply directly to the Firearms Licensing Department using one of the following options:

• By telephone: 101 extension 61855 (9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday. 9.00am - 4.30pm Friday)

Forms should be printed, completed and signed by hand.

Firearms:

• Form 101: Application for grant, renewal or variation of a firearm certificate

• Form 125: Firearms reference form (2 required for grant or renewal of a firearm certificate)

Shotguns:

• Form 103: Application for grant or renewal of shot gun certificate

Explosives:

COER 1 - Application for an explosives certificate (by an individual or company) for either Acquire Only or to Acquire and Keep.   

COER1A - Application for an explosives certificate (by an individual) for items that are used solely in firearms/shotguns or for blackpowder in connection with re-enactment.

COER1B - Renewal of an explosives certificate for Explosives certificate renewal application.

Visitors:

• Form 107: Application for visitors firearm or shot gun permit

Dealers:

• Form 116: Application for registration as a firearms dealer

• Form 116a: Application for the registration of an additional place of business
