Our policy is based on ensuring that public safety is not jeopardised through appropriate controls on firearms, ammunition and explosives.
Certificates authorising the legal ownership of firearms cannot be issued without proper and thorough investigation of an applicants background.
As from 1st July 2011 all certificates will be printed in black ink. Please note that there will be no other changes in relation to the format of the certificate nor to the certificate paper.
