Project Kraken
The Northumbria force area covers 78 miles of coastline, including numerous ports and harbours with a large maritime community.
Northumbria Police with Northumberland County Council, Sunderland Partnership and Port of Sunderland are committed to ensuring our ports and harbours remain safe places to work and visit.
Project Kraken is a national initiative set up to increase vigilance and protect our waters.
Help us by joining our watch scheme or report any suspicious behaviour or activity.

Members of the scheme will receive:
E-bulletins with information on marine-related issues
Urgent information and intelligence updates when necessary
You may also be contacted with requests to assist in observing and reporting
