Olympic Torch Relay
The Olympic torch will go around the country 70 days before the opening ceremony. It will be in the Northumbria force area for two days.
On the night of 14 June, 2012 it will be at Alnwick Castle then will travel south, and spend the night in Newcastle on 15 June, 2012. There will be evening celebrations in both locations and other events associated with the torch relay.
St James’ Park in Newcastle will host nine football matches on six days between 26 July and 4 August, 2012. Here are details of the fixtures:
