Registration

When you first arrive; you may need to register with the police. Check your Visa from the British Embassy to confirm this. If your visa stipulates that you are required to register with the police this must be done within seven days.

Students from the following countries must register with the police within SEVEN days of arriving in the UK:

Afghanistan, Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Colombia, Cuba, Egypt, Georgia, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Palestine, Peru, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Yemen.  
 
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE REGULATIONS MAY RESULT IN YOUR ARREST AND RENDER YOU LIABLE TO A FINE OF £5000 and/or UP TO SIX MONTHS IMPRISONMENT.

  • Save the completed form to somewhere you will remember 

  • Add the saved PDF form as an attachment to the Email message.

  • Then send it by email to ovro-new@northumbria.pnn.police.uk

On receipt of your registration document an appointment will be allocated. This will be either at the offices of OVRO,or at your University campus.
