Police officers need to be able to solve problems and make sound decisions every day.
To be a police officer:
You must be a good communicator, have good interpersonal skills and be able to stay calm under pressure. You also need to be innovative and highly motivated.
You need to be reasonably fit to carry out the job properly as police officers have to wear heavy uniform and carry equipment. A fitness test forms part of the recruitment process and officers have regular fitness tests during their training.
Don't doubt being a police officer can be a tough and unpredictable job at times, but it's also an extremely rewarding position.
Every day you put on your uniform and go to work, you’ll be making life safer and more secure for everyone, including your family and friends, helping to make your community a better place to live.

Nothing is more valuable than that.
