Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

Thank you for your email dated 20 April 2011 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions. 

You asked:

"In the past five years how many police hours and police officers has your force assigned to events where Kate Price (also known as Jordan) has been present at. These events will include book signings, store-openings and concerts.

In responding please set out the annual total for each year and a breakdown of what events are covered by your force."

In response:

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with all 6 Area Commands of Northumbria Police.  I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full as follows.

2008 - Book signing.  Metro Centre, Gateshead.  1 Sgt and 1 PC deployed.  Approximate period of 1 hour 30 mins.

2009 - Book signing.  Metro Centre, Gateshead.  1 Sgt and 3 PC's deployed.  There was a requirement for 3 double crewed vehicles at the site.  Approximate period of 1 hour 50 mins

2010 - Book signing.  Silverlink, North Tyneside.  1 PC deployed.  Approximate period of 6 hours.
