Collision in South Tyneside

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a bus and two pedestrians. It happened at 12.23pm on Sunday, February 21, opposite the Room Hair and Beauty studio on Prince Edward Road, South Shields.
Two women pedestrians were injured in the collision with a Stagecoach bus. The junction of Prince Edward road and Sunderland Road was closed for a short time while police investigated the collision but re-opened shortly afterwards.
The two women were taken to South Tyneside Hospital with one with a head injury and other minor injuries to arm and leg.
