Bag stolen at Washington Galleries

Police are appealing for witnesses after the theft of a bag at the Washington Galleries shopping centre.

Between 4pm and 4.20pm on Saturday, April 2, an opportunist thief stole a hand bag from a trolley in the car park area near to the In Shops section of the Galleries.

The owner of the bag had left it on the back of her trolley while loading shopping into her car. The thief snatched it and ran off towards the Glebe area.

The bag contained items including a ring, an Alcatel mobile phone, amount of cash and sunglasses. 

The thief is described as being white, around 6ft tall and aged between 18-20. He had short dark hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a grey and blue tracksuit top. He was wearing black trainers with an orange band around the sole.
