Police in Newcastle have released a Facebook photograph in a bid to help solve an assault case.
At 10.15pm on Friday March 11 at Lloyds Bar in The Gate, Newcastle, a man approached a member of staff, hit them over the face with a bottle and ran off.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, suffered a cut to his face and a broken finger.
Officers are keen to speak to a man who was in the bar at the time of the attack and whose photograph has been found on the bar's Facebook site as he may have important information about the assault.
Officers believe he may not live in the force area.
