House broken into in Hetton- le- Hole

Police are appealing for witnesses after a house was broken into in Hetton- le- Hole.
It happened between 2.30pm and 3pm on Thursday, April 14, when burglars broke into an address in Lambton Drive. Officers are particularly keen to trace a black saloon car that was parked outside the address. There were two men in the car and shortly before the house has been broken into, the driver of the car has got out and knocked on the front door.
Jewellery has been stolen in the burglary.
Acting Neighbourhood Inspector Andy Taylor, who covers the area, said: "Being broken into is incredibly distressing, especially when valuable and sentimental items are stolen. I'd urge anyone with any information to contact police."
