Teenager raped on Quayside

Information is being sought after a teenager was raped in Newcastle.
At 2.25am, on Saturday, October 22, police received a report of an 18-year-old woman having been raped on the Quayside.
The victim was outside of Bar 38 when she was approached by a man who offered to walk her home. The attack then happened in a stairwell on King Street.
The offender is described as white, aged in his 20s, 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build, with short spiky mousey brown hair.
He was wearing a dark top and jeans. He did not speak with a local accent.
Detectives are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace the person responsible as the investigation continues.
Detective Sergeant Claire Wheatley, from Northumbria Police's Rape Investigation Team, said: "I'd like to reassure people that there is a team of detectives investigating this offence and extensive enquiries are underway to apprehend this offender.
"We would appeal for the public's help and ask that anyone with information or anyone who recognises the man from his description come forward as they may have vital information to assist us."
