Pensioner injured in collision

Police are appealing for information after an 83-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was involved in a collision with a Subaru Impreza car.
It happened on Wednesday, February 1, at 11.51am, on North Road, close to the junction with Boldon Drive, Boldon Colliery
.
The car was travelling on North Road when it collided with the woman. She has suffered serious life threatening injuries and is being treated at Newcastle RVI Hospital.
North Road was closed for two hours to allow for investigations to take place and vehicle recovery.
