Two burglaries in Denwick Village

Police are appealing for information after two burglaries in Denwick Village.

Between 8am and 3:45pm on Friday, February 3, burglars broke into two houses in the village.

They stole a black Compaq laptop from one house and an amount of jewellery from the other.

Among the jewellery taken was a diamond solitaire engagement ring, a gold chain, a gold bracelet, a topaz ring, pair of gold hooped earrings, a gold onyx ring, a sapphire ring, an eternity ring with five small diamonds on it, a diamond engagement ring, a woman's gold wedding ring and a woman's Omega gold watch.

Alnwick acting Inspector Graham Vickers said: "To have two daytime burglaries in Denwick village is unusual. We are carrying out enquiries in the area and have extra officers carrying out patrols to offer reassurance to local people. I'd appeal for anyone who was in Denwick Village on Friday morning and who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or people hanging around to contact us with information."
