Brick thrown through car window on Felling bypass

Police are appealing for witnesses after a brick was thrown through the window of a moving car on the Felling bypass, Gateshead.
At 4.40pm on Monday, February 6, a 43- year-old man was driving his Citroen Xsara on the bypass, eastbound towards the Heworth roundabout when a house brick hit and broke the back passenger window.
Three young boys were seen running off. They are described as between 12 and 14 years old and wearing tracksuits and hooded tops.
Sgt Christopher Darling of Gateshead Area Command, said: "The driver has been very lucky not to have been struck by the brick.
"These were totally reckless and unthoughtful actions, which could have caused very serious damage, injuries or even death."
