Police have released CCTV images of a person they need to speak to after an assault in Newcastle.

It happened at 5.50pm on Sunday January 22, when police received information about a disturbance at McDonald's in Northumberland Street in the city centre.

During the incident a 14-year-old boy was punched in the face, causing reddening to his forehead. Police have released CCTV images of a man they need to speak to in connection with this assault.

Two teenagers aged 17 and 16 have been charged with possessing a bladed article as part of the original report to police and are currently going through the court process.
