Quad bike stolen in north Northumberland

Police are appealing for witnesses after a quad bike was stolen in north Northumberland.

Between 8:30am and 3:30pm on Wednesday, February 8, thieves stole a quad bike from the storage area on a farm in the Elsdon area, near to Rothbury.

The quad is a red 'Big Red' Honda model.

Officers believe the thieves pushed the quad away from the storage area and loaded it onto a vehicle before making off with it.

A quantity of scrap metal was also taken.

Anyone who was in the area on Wednesday and who saw anybody or any vehicles acting suspiciously is asked to contact police on 101 or by ringing the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
