Theft of farm machinery in Gateshead

Dated: 13 Feb 2012

Police are appealing for witnesses after the theft of farm machinery in Gateshead.

The equipment was stolen from the yard and fields at a farm in Byer Moor and consists of a yellow Palneter Cultivation Kit, a Khun Red and White grass mower and a Kvernland Red bail wrapper.

Police believe the thieves may have had access to a vehicle due to the size and the weight of the equipment taken.

Officers are appealing for information about the theft, especially from the farming community, who would recognise the type of property stolen.
