Appeal after burglaries

Police are appealing for witnesses after burglaries in Newcastle.

Between 8.30pm and 8.45pm on Friday, February 10, a black and grey Trek 6300 mountain bike with green pinstriping was stolen from a shed at Alston Gardens in Throckley.

Then overnight from Friday into Saturday, February 11, a motorbike was stolen from a garage at Percy Street in Newburn. The bike was left in the rear yard.

Over the same time a garage door at a house in The Green in Walbottle was forced and a black hybrid bike with Boardman written across it in yellow, was stolen together with a red Carrera mountain bike and a strimmer.

Police investigating the burglaries believe they may be linked.
