Murder inquiry underway after fatal house fire

The incident happened at 11.30am on Tuesday, February 14, in a flat at Nordale House in Blyth
A 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Following a Home Office Postmortem, police have now launched a murder investigation.
An incident room has now been set up and police are asking for anyone with information to get in touch.
DCI Ian Bentham, who is leading the investigation said: "I am appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of this flat and who saw anyone coming and going or acting suspiciously from the flat to get in touch.
"I'd like to reassure people we have a team of detectives investigating this incident and doing everything we can to find the person responsible."
