Laptops stolen in burglaries

Police are appealing for witnesses to two burglaries in Gateshead.

Between 7.30am and 4.50pm on  Friday, February 17, burglars broke into an apartment in Tranquil House, Wordsell Drive, and stole two Apple Mac laptops worth around £1200.

A laptop and two Sony games consoles were stolen in a second burglary at a property in Whitehall Road, which happened between 1.30pm and 11.40pm on Sunday, February 19.

Police are appealing for witnesses to these incidents to come forward with information.

A/DI Craig Metcalfe, of Gateshead Area Command, said: "Burglars stole electrical items from these properties and enquiries are ongoing. We're appealing for information from anyone who has witnessed the incidents or who has information about who is responsible or knows the whereabouts of the stolen property to contact police."
