47-year-old man assaulted

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 47-year-old man was assaulted in Sunderland.

It happened at around 11pm on Friday, February 17, in Roker Hotel in Roker Terrace, when there was an argument between a man and a woman. The man then punched the 47-year-old man, causing him to suffer facial injuries. He received hospital treatment.

The incident happened in the bar with a dance floor in the hotel.

The offender is described as approximately 24-years-old, five foot 11 inches tall, medium build with short cropped brown hair and a prominent nose.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in Roker Hotel at the time and saw or heard anything.
