Cash stolen from supermarket safe

Police are appealing for witnesses after cash was stolen from safes in an Asda store.

The money was taken from safes near checkouts in the Manor Walks shopping centre branch in Cramlington, Northumberland.

The offenders may also have attempted thefts in other stores in the Northumbria and Durham police area.

The first man is described as white, aged 30 to 40, approximately 6ft tall with large build. He was wearing a dark coloured cap, a dark coloured puffa jacket, dark bottoms and gloves and trainers.

The second is again white and aged 30 to 40. He is approximately 5ft 8 ins with medium build and light coloured hair. He was wearing a light coloured hooded top, dark bottoms and trainers which were possibly grey.
