Fishing equipment stolen in burglary

Information is being sought after fishing equipment was stolen during a burglary in South Tyneside.

Between 6pm, on Sunday, February 19 and 4pm, on Tuesday, February 21, thieves gained entry to a shed on Galsworthy Road, South Shields.

They made off with specialist fishing equipment including: a Garmain satellite navigation system; a Garmain sonar system; a Garcia white fishing reel and a fishing knife.

Anyone with any information on the burglary or who has been offered such items for sale is asked to contact police on 101, extension 69191 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
