Dated: 23 Feb 2012

Money

Northumbria Police is warning job hunters to be aware of a scam.

It comes after concerns have been raised in other parts of the country where a firm calling itself Cubus writes to job applicants asking for an up front Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) enhanced checking fee of £50.

The letter also refers to a three-day induction and training event in Scotswood, Newcastle upon Tyne, starting on Wednesday, February 29.

Anyone who has been duped by this organisation can contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191.
