Appeal following fraud

CCTV images of people police wish to trace have been released following a fraud at a South Tyneside store.

At around 10.50am, on Friday, January 13, a man and woman entered Eagletons, on Carden Avenue, South Shields.

The man approached the Post Office counter and asked for a quantity of £10 notes to be changed into £20 notes. However, he gained a quantity of cash after handing over a lesser amount than had been changed.

Officers are keen to speak to the people pictured as they may be able to assist with enquiries.
