Join your local coppa for a cuppa at a church in Willington Quay.

Community Support Officer Carl Brydon is inviting local people to join him for a brew and a chat at St Paul's Church on George Road over the next few months.

CSO Brydon is part of the Wallsend Neighbourhood Policing Team and covers the Willington Quay area on his beat.

The hour-long sessions are being held on the following dates and times:
Thursday, March 8, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm
 Wednesday, March 28, from 1pm to 2pm
 Thursday, April 12, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm
 Wednesday, May 2, from 1pm to 2pm
Thursday, May 17, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, and
 Wednesday, June 6, from 1pm to 2pm.

He said: "I hope to meet residents of all ages at the church and have the chance to enjoy a cuppa and talk about local issues.  These sessions are an informal way of getting to know local people better, talking to them about how we police the community and finding out how we can help people.

"I'll be happy to provide crime prevention information and talk about any concerns people may have."

If you can't spare the time to come to one of the events, but do want to speak to an officer, please contact your local Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101 ext 69191.
