Van fire

Police are appealing for witnesses following a van fire in Wallsend.

Emergency services were called to Alexandra Street between 6.45pm and 7.45pm on Monday, February 27 when a wheel arch of a parked white van was set on fire causing £200 worth of damage. The fire service extinguished the fire which police are treating as arson.

Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
