Bike stolen in garage burglary

Witnesses are being asked to come forward after a bike was stolen during a garage burglary in South Tyneside.

The burglary happened between 11pm, on Wednesday, February 22 and 5am, on Thursday, February 23.

Offenders gained entry to the garage, at an address on Buttermere, Cleadon Village, before making off with the bike.

It is described as a gold and grey Specialized Stump Jumper FSR Pro Carbon 2011.

It had a Specialized black and white water bottle, black mudguards and a cats eye spotlight at the front.

Anyone who witnessed the burglary or who knows of the bike's whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101, extension 69191 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
