Garden equipment stolen in burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary in Northumberland.

At 7.29am on Saturday, March 31, police received a report that a burglary had taken place overnight at Morpeth Avenue in Pegswood.

A shed was broken into and a number of items, including a white Ryobi strimmer and a hedge cutter of the same colour and make, a red Makita hedge cutter and a strimmer or the same colour and make, a red Honda generator and a yellow strimmer, altogether worth hundreds of pounds, were stolen.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the break-in, or anyone with information about the whereabouts of the stolen property, to contact them on 101 ext 69191, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
