Power tools stolen in burglary

Information is being sought after power tools were stolen during a burglary in East Boldon.

The incident happened at 4.16pm, on Monday, April 2, at an address on Station Road.

The offenders made off with two saws, including a Stihl saw and a chainsaw, from the address.

Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to people on the number 30 Stagecoach bus which was picking up passengers directly outside the address at the time of the burglary.

It's believed the passengers may have witnessed the offenders leaving the address with power tools as the bus drove away.

Anyone who witnessed the burglary or who has any information is asked to come forward.

Likewise anyone offered power tools for sale should also contact police.
