Motorbike stolen in Gateshead

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorbike was stolen in Gateshead.

It happened around 8.30pm on Sunday, April 8, when the bike was parked in a driveway of an address in Cheviot Gardens, Lobley Hill.

The bike is a White Yamaha YZF R125.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the bike being stolen or may see it. They are also reminding people being to be vigilant if they are offered a cheap motorbike for sale.

Sergeant Peter Dedes, of Gateshead Area Command, said: "The bike is quite distinctive and we'd urge anyone who sees it, or may be offered it for sale, to contact police."
