Trailer and tools stolen
Dated: 15 Apr 2012
Police are appealing for information after a trailer and tools were stolen in Morpeth.
Between 6pm Wednesday, April 11, and 8am Thursday, April 12, thieves entered a compound in Druridge Bay Country Park by cutting through a wooden gate to the site. They then stole a trailer that was being stored inside the compound and used it to make off with a number of items including metal signs, metal fencing, fence posts and tools.
A car parked in the compound also had its windows smashed and the tax disc, radio and spare wheel stolen at the same time.
Officers believe the theft could be linked to a burglary that occurred in the Red Row area sometime over the last week.
Thieves broke into a caravan in an allotment in Swarland Terrace and stole a Snap On toolbox and tools, a Wolf generator and two red trolley jacks.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
