Body found under bridge

Police are appealing for information after the death of a man in Sunderland.

At noon on Monday, May 7, officers found the body of a man in an industrial park underneath the Queen Alexandra Bridge.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the death and at this stage believe the man may have fallen from the bridge.

The man has been identified as Stuart Henderson who was 26 and from Boldon Colliery.

Police are trying to put together Stuart's last known movements and are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen Stuart on the bridge between 3am and 3:30am on Saturday, May 5, to contact them on 101 ext 69191.
