Appeal after car tyres damaged
Dated: 14 Jun 2012
Police are appealing for witnesses after two cars had tyres damaged in Newcastle.
Between 5.30am and 3.30pm on Sunday, June 10, two taxis, a black Skoda Octavia and a Silver Vauxhall Vectra, each had a rear tyre punctured by a sharp object, believed to be a knife.
The cars were both parked at Two Ball Lonnen in Fenham, next to the junction with Dahlia Place.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the tyre damages to get in touch.
PC Rob Thorpe said: "This is mindless damage which has caused frustration and is costly for the vehicle owners to repair, as well as being a great inconvenience for them.
"I'd urge anyone who was in the area who saw suspicious or unusual activity or has information about who is responsible to get in touch."
Anyone with information can contact police on 101 ext 69191, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
