Police support school jobs day

Officers from Wallsend Neighbourhood Team turned out to support a 'jobs day' at Beacon Hill School and Specialist College, which caters for youngsters with severe learning difficulties Wallsend.
Pupils were keen to hear about the work officers do, as part of their work related learning programme, and were interested to look at the police uniform and equipment officers use.
The school has over 130 pupils aged from three to 19, many of the youngsters are wheelchair users and have Autistic Spectrum Disorder and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Neighbourhood Inspector Pam Bridges said: "Beacon Hill School is part of the community we patrol here in Wallsend so we were very pleased to be invited to take part in this event.
