Police offer bike security marking

Police in North Tyneside are hosting a free cycle security marking session at the Rising Sun Park centre in North Tyneside.
Neighbourhood officers are urging riders to bring along their bikes to the park on Whitley Road in Benton on Sunday, November 22, from 10.30am to 12.30pm with PC Kay Lyon and Community Support Officer Michelle Rosemurgey.
PC Lyon said: "We hope cyclists will take this opportunity to bring their bikes to along to be security marked to help prevent them from being targeted by thieves. It is free and we will also give owners some crime prevention advice too."
Officers will apply the stencil with the security marking kit onto the bike will register the bike on the national database with bikeregister.com
