Appeal after theft of mobile phones

Police are appealing for witnesses after boxes containing mobile phones went missing from a lorry in Newcastle.

It is believed the three plastic boxes may have been stolen from the lorry while it was parked on Northumberland Street and Grainger Street between 6.50am and 8.55am, on Wednesday November 11.

The boxes are light blue or light grey in colour and are 2ft x 1ft in size. They contained mobile phones and associated accessories such as chargers.

One of the boxes weighed between 35-40 kgs. Anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who has any information should contact Northumbria Police on 03456 043 043, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
