Hairdressers broken into in Ashington

Police are appealing for information after a hairdressers was broken into in Ashington.

Between 12pm, midday, Sunday, February 7, and 9.30am Monday, February 8, the Hairworks on Hawthorn Road, Ashington, was broken into and around £1000 worth of hair equipment was stolen.

Items stolen include GHD hair straighteners, Wella hair clippers and straighteners, a Wella hair dryer, tongs and hot brush.

Detective Sergeant Gary Temperley from Blyth CID, said: " I'd appeal for anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or hanging round the front area of the shop on Sunday afternoon, evening time, or the early hours of Monday morning to contact police with information. Also, if anyone is offered any of the equipment taken for sale or has any idea of its whereabouts I'd ask them to contact us."
