Bike marking events in West Denton

Police in the west of Newcastle are giving residents a chance to protect their bikes so thieves don't take them for a ride.
Free bike marking events are taking place at Morrisons, West Denton Way, on Saturday March 13 between 11am and 3pm, and Sunday March 14 at Go Outdoors, just off West Denton Way, near to McDonald's.
As well as the marking officers will be on hand to give out advice on bike maintenance and other security methods.
Details of each individual bike will also be recorded and held on file so that the bike can be identified in the event of it being lost or stolen.
Two more events are being held in April; one on April 10 at Go Outdoors between 11am to 4pm and one on at Morrisons on April 11 between 11am to 3pm.
