Assault in Sunderland new appeal

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to an assault on a man near a Sunderland nightclub
The incident happened at just before 2am, on Thursday, April 12, on Vine Place, near TTonic club, when a 48-year-old man was assaulted.
His condition is now improving; however he is still classed as critically ill and has been moved from the Intensive Care Unit to the High Dependancy Unit at the RVI.
Following enquiries officers are aware that there were a number of people in the area at the time of the assault that have still not come forward.
