Theft of wheelchair

Police are appealing for witnesses following a theft of a wheelchair from outside a house in Gateshead.

The wheelchair was stolen from the front garden, outside the front door, of a house in Amberley Street in Gateshead.  It happened overnight between 11.30pm on Saturday, May 26, and 10.30am on Sunday, May 27.

Thieves stole the chair valued at £250 and made off.  It is described as having gloss paint under the cushion and some pen marks on the arms.  It also had some clothing left on it.
