Man arrested after assault

Police are appealing for information after an incident in Newcastle.
At 1:43am this morning, Sunday June 10, police received a report that a man had been stabbed inside a house in Welbeck Road.
Officers attended and a 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with cuts to his arm and his neck.
A 25-year-old man was located near to Welbeck Road with a puncture wound to his chest.
Both men were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries - neither are life threatening.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in police custody.
Officers are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything in Welbeck Road around the time of the incident to contact them on 101 ext 69191.
